A soft and slower world
Smooth Newts Lissotriton vulgaris graecus from Peloponnese, are found in a variety of habitats, from wetlands and mountains to farmland. This particular male walks on the moss-covered base of an old olive tree, in the middle of October, still in its non-breeding form. In one or two months, after the rains have filled their breeding ponds, they will enter the water and change dramatically.
